Meet The Designers of the Black horse
Meet the Architect and Interior Designers behind the chic and refined design of The Black Horse - Blackhorse Road's first cocktail bar serving an array of seasonal cocktails, craft beer and authentic Neapolitan pizza.
We're very excited the be taking part in the 2024 London Design Festival and Open House this September.
The unique, refined and chic design of The Black Horse is something we are very proud of and this is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the Architect from Pencil & Brick and the Interior Designer from Flamingo & Oak about the creative processes behind its design of Blackhorse Road's first and only cocktail bar.
Originally a concrete shell, the designers took inspiration from the industrial history of the area to transform the space into a split-level cocktail bar with a pizzeria. A rich blue and terracotta colour scheme takes cues from former denim and bus factories in the area and bespoke terrazzo bar and concrete stairs are softened by the addition of wooden beams and original street art created and installed by Artist Irony.
The Black Horse Bar & Pizzeria was nominated was the 2023 British Institute of Interior Design Awards. Read more here.
